issue 1: oceans

The theme for our first issue: oceans. What lurks in their deepest depths and their shallowest trenches? What is the language of waves, of motion? What cycles can water escape, and what cycles trap it? Consider how we treat our oceans, and how they fight back.
We encouraged potential contributors to research the following key terms for inspiration: ocean acidification, ocean warming, aquatic hypoxia.

The theme for our second issue: atmosphere. Consider heat waves, rainstorms, droughts. Consider where the sky begins and where it ends. What color is the air afraid to be? Question the breath of light and of motion, of sound and of protest.
